The Persian Genome Variant Database is a research-driven platform designed to collect, organize, and present genetic variant data from the Persian population. Our goal is to provide clinicians, researchers, and laboratories with reliable variant frequency data and population-specific insights to support accurate diagnosis, research, and precision medicine.
Many global genomic databases lack sufficient representation of Middle Eastern and Persian populations. This project aims to help fill that gap by offering structured, searchable, and clinically relevant variant data, including statistics by phenotype, age group, gender, and ethnic background.
The platform is built to support:
Clinical genetic interpretation
Population-based variant frequency analysis
Research studies and publications
Data exploration through charts and summaries
Integration with external genomic resources
By focusing on Persian genomic data, the database contributes to more accurate variant classification and better healthcare outcomes for the regional population.
